Harper Voyager has released a sampler of their new books coming out these next few months. It includes authors like Kim Harrison, Nick Cole, Richard Kadrey… and ME. The first two chapters of The Clockwork Dagger are included! And there was much rejoicing!

The really cool thing… it’s FREE and available from most every electronic book purveyor.

Grab it for your Kindle via Amazon.

Or as a freebie Nook book at Barnes & Noble.

Kobo has it, too!

Heck, it’s even at Google Play.

No matter where you get it, it’s free and totally yours. I’m rather excited to read all the samples, too–though I’ve already read Nick Cole’s whole book Soda Pop Soldier and can vouch for its awesomeness.

FAE Day!

FAE cover

FAE is out today! You can buy it through World Weaver Press. Tangent Online recently reviewed the anthology and had some had some very nice things to say about my story…

“The Cartography of Shattered Trees” by Beth Cato and “And Only The Eyes of Children” by Laura VanArendonk Baugh are shining examples of what could be done with the subject of faeries that surpass tricks on the reader, that build worlds and characters worth knowing and exploring, that have something important to say about the real world. Fae may be worth the price of admission for these alone.

In addition, there’s a release party on Facebook tonight! Clicky on the graphic below to check it out. THERE WILL BE PRIZES.

If you can’t make that, there are other forthcoming events:
August 5th – Fae #SFFLunch 12-2pm EST (on Twitter using hashtag #SFFLunch)
August 8th – Fae Canadian Release Party & Reading at When Words Collide in Calgary

Happy birthday, FAE!

The revision letter for The Clockwork Crown (aka the sequel) has arrived. I’ll be kept quite busy through August, so expect me to be scarcer than usual on the interwebs.

I feel pretty good about things, though. I’m hanging in there.
