A House Between Sea and Sky, 1 month after release
Wow, wow, wow. The reception to this book has been incredible. The book officially came out on October 1st, but through September was an Amazon First Reads pick.
A House Between Sea and Sky spent the first week of October in the top 100 of the worldwide Kindle bestsellers chart. The lowest rank I saw was 32. Holy moley.
As I prepare this post on October 30th, the book has also garnered 3,186 ratings on Amazon, with a 4.4 average. This is just mind-boggling for me.
Thank you to everyone who has bought the book. Thank you to everyone who has asked a library to buy it. Thank you for the word of mouth recommendations and for sharing my posts on social media. It all matters.

Official release date of A House Between Sea and Sky
This is the day! Amazon had the exclusive debut through the First Reads program, but October 1st means A House Between Sea and Sky is now available everywhere in all formats. Find the paperback at your local indie (or ask them to order it) or through Bookshop.org! Grab the audiobook, narrated by Hollis McCarthy and Pete Cross, through Audible! Also… ask your local library to carry the book!
Another thing to mention, too: this is a novel made for book clubs! The back includes discussion questions to make everything easier.

New Book Deal with 47North
Happy news! I’ll have another book published with 47North, the same wonderful people who published A Thousand Recipes for Revenge. The Cottage That Sways Between Sea and Sky (and that title may well change) is something different, a 1926-set cozy piece of historical fiction with a touch of fantasy and a lot of heart. It’ll come out in fall 2025.
