Schedule for Gen Con
In just a few weeks, I will be traveling to Gen Con in Indianapolis! I have wanted to attend Gen Con for years, so I am geeking out at this opportunity. The book vendor should have copies of my Clockwork Dagger duology as well as Breath of Earth and the just-released-that-week Call of Fire; follow me on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the stock on hand.
I have events throughout the day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If you’re there, I hope you can take a brief break from gaming and drop into a panel or two! I will have cookies, though I don’t know how long they’ll last. If you partake in a cookie, you can also get one of my brand new ribbons to add to your badge.

See me at the Tucson Festival of Books this weekend!
I’ll be in Tucson this weekend for my 3rd visit to the city’s wonderful Festival of Books. The University of Arizona campus plays host to 100,000 book lovers. It’s a fun place to just walk around, take in sights, and do some shopping, but the panels are a special sort of awesome.
Both of my panels are on Sunday, and each is followed by a signing. My books will be for sale there, but you can bring copies you already own as well.

The Glendale Main Library here in Arizona is hosting a full afternoon of events for teens on December 10th! It’s inspired by comicons, and will host vendors, crafts, panels, and a myriad of ways for teenagers to geek out. I’ll be there for a panel at noon alongside awesome authors Amy K. Nichols and Aprilynne Pike.

Sign Up for the Cato Log Newsletter: Book News + Recipes!
I am starting a newsletter called the Cato Log (it’s a pun for catalog, get it?). I aim to send out at least one newsletter a month–which will include all of the newest Bready or Not links in one spot–plus more emails if there’s an ebook sale or other big news. In other words, I solemnly swear to never spam you, unless it’s a recipe that includes Spam (which isn’t very likely).
There’s a sign up link on the right side of BethCato.com or just plug in your address below!

Read MoreWorldCon Schedule 2016 – plus free breakfast at Central Library on Saturday!
I’ll be at WorldCon in Kansas City, Missouri from August 17th to 21st. I have a whole bunch of panels lined up, so if you are there, come find me! As long as I’m not in a crazy rush or in the bathroom, I’m okay with pausing to sign books most anytime, too.
Also, big news: I’m doing a release event for Breath of Earth on Saturday the 20th and my publisher is hosting a free continental breakfast! It’ll be at 10:30 AM at the Central Library, just a few blocks north of the convention center and hotels. I’ll talk books with Becky Chambers, author of the wonderfully cozy The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet (seriously, this is one of my favorite scifi reads in recent years). This will be the first time that Breath of Earth will be up for sale!
